Vernon Store Suspended For Underage Alcohol Sales

A Vernon store was cited and fined for underage alcohol sales by state authorities.

VERNON, CT — The sale of alchoholic beverages at a Vernon store was shut down for one day in September because of sales to a minor, Connecticut Liquor Control Commission records show.

The 7-Eleven on Route 30 had its liquor permit suspended for Sept. 16, records show. It was also fined $500.

The Liquor Control Commission may impose fines on permittees and suspend or revoke liquor permits in connection with violations of Connecticut liquor control statutes or regulations.
