Vernon Students Wow Audience At 'All-City' Band Concert
Student musicians showed off their skills Tuesday at Vernon's "All-City" Band concert.
VERNON, CT — Student musicians showed off their skills Tuesday at the Vernon Public Schools All-City Band concert.
The event was staged at Rockville High School's stadium and featured band members from the fifth through senior in high school.
One treat was middle schoolers performing a sampling of patriotic songs they missed out on playing when inclement weather bumped them from the Memorial Day parade.

The finale featured 270 students performing together — including 109 fifth graders — and a raucous response from the packed stands.
