Vernon Town Council Approves School Roof Replacements

The Town Council voted to move more than $1.1 million in town dollars to a capital fund for school roof improvements.

The funds were obtained through a state reimbursement for renovations done to Rockville High School, according to the Hartford Courant.

There was some questions to the legality of the fund transfer, but Finance Director James Luddecke said the use was legal.

Vernon Middle School, Northeast School and Skinner Road School roofs will be replaced with the money.
