Vernon Untimely Death being Investigated

VERNON, CT — Vernon police are investigating an untimely death in the Rockville section of town.

A welfare check request was called in an Friday afternoon near 70 Brooklyn St., police said.

Officers received no response when they wen to the door and had to force their way into the residence, a department spokesman said. Officers then located a deceased adult man, a spokesman said.

Relatives were notified, as was the office of the Chief Medical Examiner, police said.

No foul play is suspected, police said.
