Vernon Woman Charged After Weekend Knife Incident: Police
A slashing indent in Vernon led to a serious injury, police said.

VERNON, CT — A knife incident over the weekend has led to first-degree assault charge against a Vernon woman, police said.
Vernon police charged Tamijo Daigneault, 51, of Vernon in connection with an "assault" on May 29 on Highland Avenue, according to a report.
Daigneault was charged after police determined that she slashed a man with a knife, police said. The man sustained a serious injury, according to a report.

The man was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
In addition to the assault charge, Daigneault was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace, according to an arrest report.

Daigneault was held over the weekend on a $150,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Monday.
