Vernon Woman Nearly 3 Times Over the Limit in 2-Part Crash: Cops
A woman was nearly three times over the legal alcohol limit during a crash, a report says.

VERNON, CT — A Vernon woman wound up with five charges after a wild traffic incident late Christmas Eve during which she was driving nearly three time over the legal blood alcohol limit, an arrest report indicates.
It was 10:51 p.m. when Vernon police were dispatched to the area of 20 Center Road for a motor vehicle crash, according to an arrest report.
One of those involved — 26-year-old Josephine Foley, left the scene on foot, according to an arrest report. She allegedly rear-ended another car, sped off, drove on the wrong side of the road and crashed into a wooded area, according to an arrest report.

She was located about two blocks away a short time after the crash and a breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of .2249 at first then .2352, according to an arrest report. The legal limit is .08 in Connecticut.
Her license had been suspended, according to an arrest report.

In addition to the license violation, Foley, of Lawrence Street in Vernon, was charged with driving under the influence, evading responsibility, a lane violation and following too closely, according to an arrest report.
She has a court date of Jan. 2, according to an arrest report.
