VERNON, CT — A $101.9 million budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal year was approved at Vernon's annual town meeting Tuesday, along with a tax rate that will not go up.

* One mill is equal to $1 for every $1,000 of assessed property value, meaning the taxpayer obligation in Vernon for the 2023-24 fiscal year will be $32.46 and $33.39 in the respective categories for every $1,000 in assessments.
