Vernon's Brown Nets Player of the Week Hoop Honors For Eastern
Brown was a key factor in a tourney win.

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Eastern Connecticut State University junior shooting guard Tarchee Brown from Rockville has been named player-of-the-week in the Little East Conference in the sixth weekly men’s basketball report, released Monday.
Recognized for an LEC weekly award for the eighth time in his career, Brown had 33 points and eight rebounds when the Warriors won the Trinity College Holiday Invitational this past weekend with wins over Manhattanville College (70-56) and host Trinity (72-65).
Against Trinity in the title game Saturday, Brown had 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting during a 24-4 second-half run that turned a seven-point deficit into a 13-point lead with four minutes left.

Named to the all-tournament team, Brown led all scorers with 24 points in the game on 10-of-17 shooting and also had a team-high seven rebounds and game-high four assists. With Eastern leading by three, Brown scored the game’s next 10 points and 12 of the next 15 to make it 66-56 with four minutes left as Eastern defeated Trinity for the seventh straight time.
In the tournament, Brown had 33 points (13-of-29), eight rebounds, eight assists and two steals. He was 4-of-8 from three-point range.

Brown leads Eastern (7-5/2-0 LEC) and is third in the LEC with an 18.6 scoring average. He is shooting 45.7 percent from the floor and averages 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
