Vernon's Brown Sworn In, Gets Rookie Legislative Assignments
State Rep. Kevin Brown was sworn in last Wednesday at the State Capitol.
HARTFORD — State Rep. Kevin Brown was sworn in last Wednesday at the State Capitol for his first term representing the 56th District, which covers Vernon.
The swearing-in ceremony took place in the House chamber.
"It is a great honor to represent the people of Vernon in Hartford," Brown said. "I look forward to
fighting on your behalf to create legislation that will benefit our community and Connecticut as a
whole."

Brown, a Democrat, will serve on the Education, Housing, and Internship Committees for the 2023 legislative
session.
