Vernon's New Senior Center Formally Opens
Vernon has itself a new senior center and it opened on Monday.
VERNON, CT — Vernon's sparkling new senior center officially opened on Monday.
Voters approved the project to convert the old TicketNetwork building on Bolton road into the new senior center with $3.245 million in bonds 53 weeks ago and on Monday, Mayor Daniel Champagne and the group that spearheaded the endeavor called "The Bandits" formally cut the ribbon to open the center.
Costs were offset by extensive internal work by Department of Public Works crews.
