Here's a look at who pays the most in taxes in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — Apartment complex owners dominated the top of the list of who pays the most taxes in Vernon.
Town officials released the Top 10 Taxpayers list Monday in conjunction with the grand list of all taxable properties.
Apartments dominated the top three spots. Here's a look at the top 10 in terms to total assessments and their impact on the grand list:

1. Chapman Properties, which owns several large complexes in town off Routes 83 and 30 like Willowbrook and Mount Vernon.
- 2021 Net Change: $85,706,930
- Percentage change: Plus 12 percent
- Percentage of Grand List: 3.8 percent
2. Santini Properties, whose holdings include complexes off South Street and Route 30.

- 2021 Percentage Change: Plus 11 percent
- Percentage of Grand List: 2.8 percent
3. Trail Run Apartments, a newer development off Route 83 at which construction is ongoing over several phases.

- 2021 Percentage Change: Plus 230 percent

4. Tri City Plaza, a shopping plaza at Vernon Circle anchored by ShopRite, TJ Maxx holdings and Hartford Healthcare.
