Vernon's Traditional Good Friday Walk At A Crossroads
The annual Good Friday walk in Vernon is on for this year, but Cornerstone needs volunteers to keep the event going now and in the future.

VERNON, CT — The Cornerstone Foundation's Good Friday Walk has become a springtime tradition in Vernon, but without some volunteer help, it could be headed to Calvary — literally.
This year, Good Friday falls on Mach 29. Check-in for the event is at 8:30 a.m. with the walk to set to commence at 9 a.m. The walk starts and finishes at the Rockville United Methodist Church, 142 Grove St. and covers approximately 3.1 miles.
Officials put in a call this week for volunteers to help keep the event going. This year's event is scheduled for March 29 and, as always, aims to raise funds and awareness to combat hunger and homelessness in the community.
