VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Friday, Nov.11, in observance of Veterans Day. Refuse and recycling will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected on Monday, Nov. 14, along with that day's regular collection.
If delays occur, residents should keep carts out at the curb.
The Vernon Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday, Nov. 13.
