Video: Man Rescued With Rope At Vernon's Valley Falls Park

Vernon fire and police officials have released a video of a rope rescue on a cliff at Valley Falls Park.

VERNON, CT — Vernon police and fire officials have released a video clip of Sunday's rescue of a man stuck on a cliff at Valley Falls Park .

The call came in at about 5:30 p.m.

The man was not hurt, but became stuck on a steep rock cliff, about 140 feet up, fire officials said.

Firefighters responded to the scene, were positioned by a Vernon Police Department drone unit, and were able to pull the man to safety within two hours, according to police.

The drone units have recording capability.
