Wanted Man Caught After Foot Chase In Vernon
A man who had an outstanding warrant was caught acfter a foot chase in Vernon, police said.
VERNON, CT — A short foot chase involving police and a wanted man took place over the weekend, an arrest report indicates.
At 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, a Vernon police officer who was on routine patrol in the area of Park and School streets noticed Joshua Wagner, who is not only a familiar face to police because of previous incidents, but was wanted in a domestic violence case, according to a report.
The officer approached Wagner about the warrant and Wagner started to run away, according to a report. He was caught a short time layer, police said.

For the warrant, Wagner, 33, of Vernon, was charged with unlawful restraint and breach of peace, both in the second degree.
For running away, he was charged with escape from custody and interfering with police, according to a report.
