Warrants Accuse Vernon Man Of Sexual Assault, Possessing Child Porn

VERNON, CT — Three warrants accuse an 18-year-old Vernon man of illicit sexual activity with an underage girl and collecting child pornography by clandestine means.

Patch obtained the warrants via a Freedom of Information Request. They were released by police immediately after redaction.

Judicial system records show that Nehamyah "Myo" Briscoe was served the warrants on Dec. 19.

One warrant has charged him with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child. The second has charged him with risk of injury to a child and employing a minor in an obscene performance. The third has charged him with possession of child pornography.

He posted respective bonds of $25,000, $50,000 and $200,000 and he is due for an appearance in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 30, judicial system records show.

According to the warrants, detectives began investigating the case on Dec. 7, when the mother of the girl, who was 14 at the time, came to Vernon police headquarters to report that her daughter said she was sexually assaulted by Briscoe during the early morning hours.

According to testimony outlined in the warrant, the girl's family had several friends over, including Briscoe. He usually leaves when the mother of the girl goes to bed, but wound up staying later that night for a group movie with another adult present, according to the warrants.

He then stayed even after the second adult fell asleep, according to the warrants.

The girl came to the mother's room crying at 4 a.m. and said Briscoe had left just 10 minutes earlier, according to the warrants. The girl then told her mother that Briscoe had positioned her body a certain way and touched her repeatedly on private parts, according to the warrants.

At 4:09 the mother confronted him on a call and he said the incident was an accident, according to the warrants. The girl countered that she could tell by the nature of the touching that it was intentional, according to the warrants.

Because he had made a call himself to the girl's mother, Briscoe's phone was confiscated via a search warrant and not only did police find child sexual material downloaded, but secret videos Briscoe had made after hiding his phone in a child's room, according to the warrants. The secret videos depicted a child in different stages of undress, according to the warrants.
