Wayward Truck Makes A Mess In Vernon After Hitting Pole

VERNON, CT — A tractor-trailer made a mess of things on a well-traveled side road in Vernon Tuesday.

The incident took place at about 9 a.m. on Dart Hill Road, just west of Skinner Road, fire officials said. A tractor-trailer hit a utility pole and knocked it, along with wires and a transformer, to the pavement.

An Eversource Energy crew was on the scene making repairs and Skinner Road was accessible.
