WEATHER UPDATE: Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Vernon

We wrote on Tuesday that this was shaping up to be a stormy weather week and that appears to be the case as the National Weather Service has issued a “Severe Thunderstorm Watch” for all of Tolland County until 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Additionally, a Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Tolland County, according to the National Weather Service.

According to the NWS, sunny skies will change quickly this afternoon, and winds could gust up to 26 mph.

The showers and thunderstorms could last until after midnight, and more showers and thunderstorms are still possible on Thursday, especially after 3 p.m.
