What do these convictions have in common? Bank Robbery, Larceny from a US Postal Service, Parking Ticket on VA Hospital Campus, Stealing Firearms for an automobile, Kidnapping across state lines, Embezzling from a Credit Union.
If you said Felony you would be close. There is one other answer not so obvious. The cases are all US Federal Cases. But they are processed in US Federal Criminal Court system and are not found in the State Court Systems. As an employer; Human Resource employee, business owner, you should be aware of this small but powerful detail.
Recently in CT, a gang ring was arrested by ATF for breaking into automobiles, stealing guns (one owned by a police officer) and selling the guns to support their drug abuse habits. This happened in the small towns of Ellington and Newington CT.

The Law will process their wrongdoing and when a determination is made the conviction will appear in US Federal Court only. So make sure you search US Federal Courts when hiring. The gun thefts WILL NOT appear in the Conn Judicial System.
