Woman Facing 17 Counts of Larceny in Vernon
A woman is accused of stealing from a Vernon roommate and pawning the stuff.

VERNON, CT — A woman has been charged with 17 counts of larceny for allegedly stealing stuff from her roommate and pawning it off, according to an arrest report.
The case dates back to February, according to an arrest warrant.
Michelle Larose, 46, who was living as a residence on Burke Road in Vernon at the time of the alleged thefts, was arrested on Thursday and posted a $10,000 bond, according to an arrest report. She is due in court in July 11, according to an arrest report.

She has known her roommate for about 2o years when they worked together as emergency medical technicians, according to the warrant. Larose told police she was trying to get back to California and was having financial issues, according to the warrant.
Items that has gone missing from the Vernon home were jewelry, several watches and a laptop, pawned at a local shop for about $500, according to the warrant. A cell phone belonging to her roommate had also gone missing and she allegedly had her information cloned onto it to avoid paying cell phone access fees.

She had been staying at the residence for 11 months, according to the warrant.
