Woman Has Chunk of Hair Pulled Out in Vernon Altercation: Report

A man is facing an assault charge after pulling a chunk of a woman's hair out, Vernon police said.

VERNON, CT — A Vernon man is due in court Tuesday to explain an accusation that he pulled out a chunk of a woman's hair during an altercation, police said.

Ian Scott Blood, 51, of Riverside Drive, Vernon, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace on Thursday, police said.

Police said they received a third-party call at 12:53 a.m. about a woman being beaten up at a Vernon Avenue home, according to an arrest report.

Police found "a pile" of the woman's hair on the floor after entering the home and she had a visible bald spot on her head, according to an arrest report.

Blood was then arrested, according to a report.
