Xfinity Setting Sights On Vernon For Retail Store
Signs have popped up saying an Xfinity retail store is coming to a shopping center in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — Signs have emerged in a busy shopping plaza in Vernon proclaiming that a new Xfinity retail store is headed this way.
"Hey Vernon ... We Cant wait to show you what's in store," said a message posted on a blue placard that masked what was going on inside a vacant space at the Tri-City Plaza.
Vernon Economic Development Director Shaun Gately said he has heard of no definitive timetable for the store's opening, but added no special permitting is required because it's a retail store going into an established retail center.
