Young Students In Vernon Meet A Falcon Up-Close

VERNON, CT — Some Center Road School students recently had the opportunity to visit the Agricultural Science and Technology Education program at Rockville High School.

Agriculture teacher Ashley Lanz high school students gave the elementary students a tour of their program and animals.

Lt. Chris Pryputniewicz of the Vernon Police Department also organized a special visit from Officer Jim Platosh and his Harris Hawk Aspen. The students were able to ask questions and learn about becoming a Falconer.

Police Chief Marc Petruzzi, RHS Principal Jason Magao, Elementary Special Education supervisor Melissa Ross and Renaissance program staff were in attendance as well.
