2 More Coronavirus Cases Reported At Wallingford Schools

People associated with two schools in Wallingford have tested positive for the coronavirus, officials announced on Wednesday.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Two more confirmed cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the Wallingford Public School District, officials announced Wednesday.

Officials notified families that a person from Dag Hammarskjold Middle School and Mark T. Sheehan High School have tested positive for the virus.

“In working with the Wallingford Health Department, it has been determined that these individuals were not in close contact with anyone while in the school setting,” according to a message sent to parents.

Families were notified earlier this week of four confirmed coronavirus cases in Wallingford schools and Superintendent Salvatore Menzo sent a message to parents Tuesday asking for help with preventing the spread of COVID-19.
