Driver Sought In Hit-And-Run That Sent 2 To Hospital: Wallingford Police
Two juvenile pedestrians were hospitalized after being struck by a pickup truck. Police released surveillance video of the suspect truck.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Two juvenile pedestrians were hospitalized after being struck by a pickup truck in a hit-and-run Wednesday in Wallingford, according to police.
Police responded to Highland Avenue near Johnson Road around 5:40 p.m. on the report of an accident. An investigation found that three juveniles had been walking along Highland Avenue when two of them were struck by a dark-colored pickup truck that was traveling west on Highland Avenue, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.
The pickup truck left the scene after the collision, Jaques said.

The two juveniles were taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries that were reported to be non-life-threatening, according to Jaques.
Jaques said the evading vehicle is described as a newer model dark-colored (possibly Ford F-150) full-size pickup truck with dark-colored rims and possible damage to the front passenger side/bumper area.

Note: In an update Friday afternoon, police said the surveillance video they previously sent out was found to not be associated with this incident. The video has since been removed from this article. Police have obtained new video that is being reviewed and will be sent out at a later time.
