Amazon Facility Expected to Bring Hundreds of Jobs to Wallingford

Amazon plans to open a sorting center on Research Parkway.

The new Amazon sorting center on Research Parkway is expected to bring up to 439 new jobs to Wallingford, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports that interior demolition of the building is set to begin and Amazon will use 170,675 square-feet of space.

Amazon is leasing a building at 29 Research Parkway for a “sortation center” in which packages will be delivered in sealed boxes and employees will organize them by zip code for delivery, according to the Record-Journal.
