New Lacrosse Coach Named At Lyman Hall High School

WALLINGFORD, CT — Brett McKenna has been appointed the new head coach of the Lyman Hall boys lacrosse team, the athletic department announced Monday.

McKenna brings "years of coaching and playing experience to the program, along with a strong commitment to athlete development, teamwork, and sportsmanship," according to a news release from Lyman Hall Athletic Director Steve Baker.

McKenna was previously an assistant coach at Lyman Hall and played college club lacrosse at Central Connecticut University, where he earned honorable mention All-Conference in 2015 and 2016.

"We are thrilled to welcome Coach McKenna to Lyman Hall," Baker said. "His passion for lacrosse, dedication to student-athletes, and vision for the program align perfectly with our school's values. We are confident he will have a positive impact both on and off the field."

In addition to on-field success, McKenna is emphasizing academic excellence and character development.

"I'm really excited to work with the team, continue to grow the sport and program that Coach Castelli built, and just can't wait to get started," McKenna said.

McKenna will begin working with the team immediately, focusing on offseason development, program growth, and preparation for the upcoming 2026 season, according to Baker.
