WALLINGFORD, CT — A man was recently arrested three times in connection with domestic violence-related incidents, according to police.
Police responded around 8 a.m. on July 4 to a home in Wallingford on the report of a domestic violence incident, according to Capt. Michael Colavolpe.
Queshon McDaniel, 28, was accused of assaulting the victim, according to Colavolpe.
McDaniel was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond, and appeared in court on July 6.
During the investigation, Colavolpe said officers also learned of a separate domestic violence incident that occurred in June, where McDaniel was accused of threatening the same victim with a gun.
Officers recovered the suspected firearm at the residence and McDaniel was arrested following further investigation, according to Colavolpe.
McDaniel was charged with first-degree threatening. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond and also appeared in court on July 6.
Colavolpe said as a condition of his release, McDaniel was ordered to have no contact with the victim and to stay away from the victim's residence.
Later that same day, at around 9:10 p.m., Colavolpe said officers returned to the residence after the Wallingford Communications Center received a 911 hang-up call. Arriving officers heard a man and a woman arguing inside the home, according to Colavolpe.
“During the subsequent investigation, officers located McDaniel inside the residence in violation of his conditions of release,” Colavolpe wrote in a news release. “The victim also reported that McDaniel had assaulted her, causing a laceration to her head.”
McDaniel was arrested and charged with second-degree violation of conditions of release and second-degree assault.
He was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and appeared in Meriden Superior Court on July 6.
Colavolpe said McDaniel was being held in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Correction pending his next court appearance, which is scheduled for Aug. 5.
