WALLINGFORD, CT — Rick Collins has been named the new head coach of the Lyman Hall indoor and outdoor track and field programs, the school announced this week.
Collins served as an assistant track coach at Plainville High School for the past eight years.
Before that, he was the head coach at Simsbury High School, where his teams won seven Class L state titles, were state runners-up four times, won one state open title, and one state open runner-up.
"Coach Collins is enthusiastic about joining the Lyman Hall community and is eager to continue building a strong and successful track program," according to a news release from the athletic department. "He brings a deep passion for the sport and a belief in the whole student-athlete, where academics are a priority."
