Baby Delivered Inside Wallingford Home By Emergency Crews
Members of the Wallingford Fire Department made a special delivery over the weekend.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Emergency crews in Wallingford helped make a special delivery over the weekend when a baby girl decided to enter the world a little sooner than expected. Gretchen Richardson had been scheduled to give birth to her daughter on Monday but complications led to a change of plans on Saturday morning, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports that Gretchen Richardson and her husband, Damon, decided to go to the hospital but the baby wasn’t waiting so they called 911 and six members of the fire department responded within moments. (To sign up for Wallingford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
