Bagged Leaf Collection Details Announced In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — Starting Monday, Nov. 23, the Public Works Department will begin its annual one-time pickup of bagged leaves (no brush) collected from Wallingford residences. All bagged leaves must be placed at the curb in paper leaf bags no later than Sunday, Nov. 22, according to town officials.
Residents can use masking tape or painter's tape to close the bag, however, duct tape is not acceptable. Read more from the Public Works Department below:
This is a ONE-TIME pickup of LEAVES ONLY. Brush, trash or garden waste will not be accepted. Residents who miss the pickup can take leaves to the Compost Area (157 John Street) at no charge.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thursday (except closed on Thanksgiving Day): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Compost Center hours from Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 to Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 are as follows:
Monday, Thursday, Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Compost Center will be CLOSED from Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 to Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
