Bank Robbed In Wallingford: Police

Police are investigating after a bank was robbed Wednesday afternoon in Wallingford, according to officials.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A TD Bank was robbed in Wallingford on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Police responded to the TD Bank at 928 North Colony Rd. around 12:25 p.m. on March 27 on the report of a robbery, according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.

Jaques said the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored four-door Honda Civic. The suspect remained “at large” as of Wednesday night, according to Jaques.

Staff at the bank told police that a man passed a note to a teller demanding cash, and said he left the bank and entered a dark-colored Honda Civic, according to Jaques.

The suspect was described as a white man with an olive complexion who was wearing a blue surgical mask, black baseball hat, dark sweatshirt, and black glasses. He had dark hair and a “very scruffy/bushy dark beard on the side of his face,” according to Jaques.

Staff said the suspect looked like he was in his late 20s or early 30s and was approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall, according to Jaques.

Jaques said the suspect left with an undetermined amount of cash and no weapon was used during the theft.

“Officers descended upon the area immediately and initiated their investigation into the incident,” Jaques wrote in a news release. “No injuries were reported and we believe there may have been another person in the getaway car.”
