Beatles Music Festival Coming To Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — The “Fab 4 Music Festival” will be held in Wallingford for the first time as the event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ release of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”

With the move from the festival’s previous home in Danbury to the Oakdale Theatre, the number of acts will increase from 10 to 20 as there will be two stages of performances. Half of the groups will be performing indoors, under the Dome, while the other half will play outside on the patio.

The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 10.

On June 1, 1967, The Beatles put out "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and music was never the same again. It was the kick-off of "The Summer of Love" and the beginning of album rock and conceptual recordings. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of this historic release, Liverpool Productions has announced that this year's "Fab 4 Music Festival" will be held in June, on Saturday the 10th, to commemorate the occasion.

For the first time, the event has changed locations, from its previous home in Danbury to the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, CT. Also for the first time, there will be two stages of performances, doubling the number of acts from ten to twenty. Half of the groups will be performing indoors, under the Dome, while the other half will be playing outside on the patio.

The popular New York/New England regional Beatles-themed festival, known in past years as "Danbury Fields Forever," is a family-friendly Music, Foods & Arts Festival featuring the music of The Beatles, their solo material and songs from the sixties.

It will all "come together" from 1pm until 10pm on June 10th, and, again in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of "Sgt. Pepper" and the year 1967, advance "Ticket to Ride" general admissions are only $19.67. There are also V.I.P. tickets available. Note that admission will be higher at the door. Along with the great entertainment of 20 bands (line-up to be announced), there will be Beatles and music memorabilia dealers & vendors, exhibitors, attractions, kid-friendly activities, along with a large variety of food options available.

The "Fab 4 Music Festival" on Saturday, June 10, 2017, is presented by Live Nation is association with Liverpool Productions, the same Connecticut Beatles fan club that presented "NYC FAB 50: The Beatles' 50th Anniversary Celebration" in New York City, and have produced the Connecticut Beatles Conventions since 1978. They also organize the annual fan vacations to Liverpool and London known as the "Magical History Tour."

The Fab 4 Music Festival is hosted by Charles F. Rosenay!!!, with Ken Michaels of the "Every Little Thing" radio show.
