Brewery Moves Closer to Opening in Downtown Wallingford: Report
A Wallingford resident is planning on opening a brewery downtown.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford resident is one step closer to opening a brewery downtown after recently receiving a zoning variance and approval from the town’s planning department, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports David Durant, who founded Cliffside Brewing in his home about four years ago, plans to open the brewery at a vacant storefront on Center Street in late spring.
Before opening the brewery, which will include a tasting room, Durant still needs to obtain a federal license to manufacture alcohol and other approvals, according to the Record-Journal.
