Brothers Restaurant Building To Be Demolished

The Town of Wallingford is soliciting bids for demolition of the building that housed the restaurant for more than three decades.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Town of Wallingford is soliciting bids to demolish the building that used to house Brothers Restaurant on N. Cherry Street.

The town bought the property for $411,000 in a foreclosure auction and it had a tax lien of more than $34,000, according to the Record-Journal.

Brothers Restaurant closed in 2017 after operating for more than 30 years. The town plans to turn the space into a 40-spot parking lot.

According to its social media page, the eatery served "Award winning seafood and ribs! 2 banquet rooms for any occasion! Great bar with live music on the weekends and a rotating beer list on draft!"
