Brush Pickup Details Announced In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Public Works Department will begin brush only pickup on Monday, April 6, officials announced.
All brush to be picked up should be placed at the curb, no later than Sunday, April 5, tied with twine, separately, in small bundles.
No brush more than 4 feet long or 6 inches in diameter will be accepted.

Branches or brush not tied will NOT be picked up, according to officials.
Items placed at curb must be light enough for one person to put in a truck.

This is a one-time-only pickup, in all sections of Wallingford. The Department of Public Works will not go back to any street that has already been picked up.
Residents who miss the pickup may take their brush to the Compost Center on John Street at no charge.
The Compost Center hours are as follows:
March 15 through March 31
Monday, Thursday, Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last gate entry 3:4 p.m.)
April 1 through Nov. 30
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last gate entry 2:45 p.m.)
Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last gate entry 4:45 p.m.)
Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (last gate entry 1:45 p.m.)
