"Elijah": A Film Screening and Discussion

Join us for a special screening of the 2024 short film Elijah, directed by Razid Season and starring Mithila Gazi! This powerful feature tells the coming-out story of a second-generation Bengali-American teenager who desires to live life fully as a man in a transphobic immigrant culture. Scenes from the movie, which was inspired by a real-life story, were filmed right here in Wallingford and include residents of the town in its cast. (Unrated, 20 minutes)
