146th Annual WPLA Meeting: "In Ghostly Japan"

After a brief business meeting, join us to hear chilling tales from Motoko, an acclaimed Japanese storyteller who has captivated audiences of all ages for more than three decades. Featured at festivals and theaters throughout the United States, she brings to life a rich repertoire of Asian folktales, Rakugo and Zen tales, ghost stories, and oral memoirs inspired by her childhood in Osaka and her journey as an immigrant. Through her story set "In Ghostly Japan," you will step into the world of the ancient East, where shadows and fantasies merge in dark and mysterious tales inhabited by warriors and peasants, nuns and priests, ghosts and demons.
