Cheshire, Wallingford SWAT Teams Taking Part in Training Exercise in Vacant House
The training exercise is expected to continue into Tuesday afternoon in Wallingford.

If you see SWAT teams responding to a home on Lake Street in Wallingford on Tuesday, there is nothing to be alarmed about, it’s all part of a training exercise between the Cheshire and Wallingford police departments, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports that the training exercise, which is taking place in a vacant house that is due to be demolished in the coming weeks, is expected to continue until about 1 p.m.
Residents in the neighborhood have been notified about the training exercise, in blanks that sound like gunshots are being used to simulate real-life situations, according to the Record-Journal.
