Choate Rosemary Hall Student-Athletes Receive National Academic Honor

A half-dozen Wild Boars were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association High School National Academic Squad.

WALLINGFORD, CT — More than 2,500 student-athletes from 328 schools, including six from Choate Rosemary Hall, were named to the Keith Waldman - Optimal Performance Associates/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) High School National Academic Squad, announced Wednesday.

The National Academic Squad program recognizes those high school seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2016-17 school year. There were a total of 2,522 honorees on this year’s squad coming from the 328 schools.

Seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2016-17 school year have been recognized as Scholars of Distinction. A total of 714 students received the Scholars of Distinction designation, indicated here by an asterisk (*).

The honorees from Choate are Anna Deitcher, Alexandra Eades, Cameron Leonard, Riley Marchin, Claire Marshall and Madison Sakheim.
