Company To Close Wallingford Facility

The company has announced plans to close its location in Wallingford.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Philips will be closing its Wallingford facility over the next two years, according to multiple reports, including NBC Connecticut.

NBC reports Philips, a health technology company, will transition production to a third-party manufacturer and another Philips facility.

The closing of the Wallingford plant will result in a loss of about 140 jobs — with 50 positions going to the company’s facility in California while the other 90 will be eliminated, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
