Coronavirus Cases Reported At 2 Wallingford Schools

One cohort at Moran Middle School will temporarily switch to distance learning due to the number of staff that need to quarantine.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Public School District reported confirmed cases of the coronavirus at James H. Moran Middle School and Pond Hill Elementary School over the weekend.

Officials notified families on Sunday that a person associated with Moran Middle School tested positive for the coronavirus. The person was determined to be in close contact with one or more people while in a school setting, according to a message sent to parents.

Anyone who was determined to be a close contact has already been contacted by officials. However, due to the “number of staff that need to quarantine at this time,” all students and staff on Team 7-2 will participate in distance learning until Nov. 17, according to officials.
