Cougars in Connecticut?

Wildlife talk tonight at the QRWA explores the status of cougars in Connecticut and the Northeast.

 

As part of its Monthly Speakers Series, the Quinnipiac River Watershed Association (QRWA) is hosting a talk on cougars in Connecticut tonight at its headquarters, 540 Oregon Road in Meriden.

Wildlife biologist Jason Hawley will speak on The Question of Cougars in the Northeast and the Connecticut Cougar Experience at 7 p.m. His talk will explore evidence about the status of the Eastern Cougar in the Nutmeg State and in the northeastern U.S. He will discuss public perceptions about the animal as well as provide anecdotes about individual cougars known to have inhabited the area.
