Cute squirrel near where I live, just kind of exploring and looking for something to snack on, maybe peanuts in a shell. There are 3 squirrels in completion with him. Blue Birds will also pick up peanuts in a shell and fly away.
I noticed that squirrels are very jumpy. They would rather take a peanut in a shell and run and hide to eat it. If the they have bits of pieces on the ground they stand on their back legs, hold the food bread, peanut bits etc with both their front paws and eat it.
If you are watching they will turn away from you and eat and watch you from the side with one eye. Very clever and alert.
