Dog Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Wallingford: Report

The driver also almost hit the dog's owner, according to a report.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A dog was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver that also almost hit the dog’s owner Tuesday afternoon in Wallingford, according to FOX 61.

FOX 61 reports a dog named Rex, a family pet for 17 years, was hit by a car at the end of a driveway in the 300 block of East Main Street. A witness told FOX 61 the car was possibly a light or beige Ford Taurus wagon.

Desmond's Army and two other animal advocacy groups are joining forces to offer a $2,200 reward for information leading to finding the driver responsible for the hit-and-run, according to FOX 61.
