Dog Struck By Truck, Seriously Injured: Wallingford Animal Control
Wallingford Animal Control officials are asking for the public's assistance with locating the truck that left the scene.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A dog was seriously injured after being struck by a truck on Monday morning and animal control officials are asking for the public’s assistance with locating the truck that left the scene.
The dog, Chico, is described as a medium-sized tan dog. The accident occurred at about 9:40 a.m. in front of 208 South Cherry Street.
“The dog's owner said the truck was a dark blue pick up truck,” the Wallingford Animal Control wrote in a post on Facebook. “She was understandably very upset and concerned for her dog so she doesn't remember any other identifying details of the truck that hit Chico.

“If there are any witnesses, or if anyone knows the driver of this truck we ask that you please contact us.
“We realize that this was a tragic accident, but it's not ok to leave the scene.

“Chico has serious injuries, and has been rushed to Yalesville Vet by Wallingford Police. Thank you Officers for being so compassionate!
