Driver Crashes Into Bruegger’s Bagels, 5 Customers Injured: Wallingford Police
Five customers were seriously injured after a driver crashed into the dining area of Bruegger's Bagels in Wallingford, according to police.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Five customers were hospitalized after a driver crashed into the Bruegger’s Bagels on North Colony Road in Wallingford on Friday morning, according to police.
An employee called 911 around 9:50 a.m. to report the crash at 970 North Colony Road, according to Officer Alex Torres.
Torres said a white 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hybrid drove into the dining area that was occupied by five male customers.

The men were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Torres.
“Thankfully, no fatalities and no employees were injured,” Torres wrote in an email.

Torres said the 63-year-old female driver of the Jeep was not injured and is “cooperative with this ongoing investigation.”
“The Jeep has been removed and Bruegger’s Bagels will soon be boarded up and closed for business,” Torres said on Friday afternoon.
The crash is being investigated by the Wallingford Police Traffic Division.
