Driver Killed In Crash On I-91 In Wallingford: State Police

A driver was killed in a one-vehicle crash on I-91 in Wallingford, according to Connecticut State Police.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A driver was killed in a one-vehicle crash on I-91 in Wallingford early Monday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.

Police said the crash happened around 1:20 a.m. on I-91 South near Exit 13.

Christopher Cutler, 41, of Wallingford, was driving his 2001 Honda S2000 just north of Exit 13 when it collided with the wire rope guardrail in the right shoulder and went into a grass embankment on the roadside, according to police.

Police said the Honda when down the embankment and came to a stop.

Cutler was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, and was pronounced dead from his injuries, according to police.

Police are asking for any witnesses to the crash to contact Trooper Daniel McCue at 203-393-4200 or Daniel.mccue@ct.gov. Anyone who was operating a vehicle with a dashcam that was driving through the area at the time of the crash is also asked to contact McCue.
