DUI Driver Strikes House, Knocks Down Fence in Wallingford: Report

The suspect, who also crashed into a parked vehicle, reportedly tried to flee the scene.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Meriden woman was arrested on DUI charges after Wallingford Police say she drove through a front lawn, struck the corner of a house, crashed into a parked vehicle and knocked down a wooden fence, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Kayleigh Townsend, 28, was arrested after she allegedly tried to flee the scene.

The accident occurred at about 1:14 a.m. on Jan. 3 on Church Street in Wallingford, according to the Record-Journal.
