Off-Duty New Haven Police Officer Arrested In Wallingford: Police
The officer is accused of using "inappropriate and alarming language" toward juveniles after an incident on Halloween.
WALLINGFORD, CT — An off-duty New Haven police officer has been arrested in connection with an incident on Halloween in Wallingford, according to police.
Police responded to a call around 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 31 involving off-duty New Haven Police Officer Lindsey Nesto.
Nesto was accused of being involved in an incident where an argument occurred between her and three juveniles who were trick-or-treating, according to Officer Alex Torres.

Torres said Nesto used “inappropriate and alarming language” toward the juveniles while she chased them down the street.
An arrest warrant was obtained after further investigation, according to Torres.

Nesto was charged with second-degree breach of peace and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 17.
New Haven Police Chief Karl Jacobson has placed Nesto on administrative duty pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation, according to New Haven police spokesperson Officer Scott Shumway.
